SAICFA&F

If you have never seen the title, then you are probably quite puzzled. ;) SAICFA&F stands for San Antonio Independent Christian Film Academy and Festival. We will be attending them throughout the entire week.

We will be leaving Monday(tomorrow) to head to San Antonio. We will all be riding in a Suburban: Dad, Allison, Mr. Lee, Zac, Josh, Luke, Pastor Rick, and me. Meeting at the Pastor Rick's house at 5:30 may be a little difficult, but I think we will manage. I'll probably sleep half way there. :P

Anyways, you are probably asking, "What is the Film Academy?" Well, it is just what it's name says. Every year in San Antonio, Vision Forum holds a 'conference' if you want to call it on movie making. We will be learning a lot of information, and I am really looking forward to it for many reasons. As you all know, I have recently taken an interest inn audio work. I started messing around with iMovie, and got really hooked on video. About a week later, Dad told me that we would be going to the Academy and the Festival. I am so excited, because now I can learn even more on how to make good movies.

That was the Academy; the Festival is different. While the Academy lasts Monday through Wednesday, the Film Festival lasts from Thursday to Saturday. The Film Festival is a place for Christian film makers to enter their movies for a chance to win $101,000. Basically we will be watching movies for three days straight. ;) On Saturday night they will announce the winner. I am not sure if we will be able to stay for that part because it ends rather late, and we need to get home in time to get plenty of sleep for church. Mom, Callie, and Samuel will be staying home for the Academy, but they will come up on Thursday for the Festival.
